Paul Dumouchel, Ph.D.
(Co-Investigator) Paul Dumouchel is professor in the Graduate School of Core Ethics and Frontier Sciences at Ritsumeikan University where he teaches political philosophy and philosophy of science. He has published many articles on violence, war and terrorism, economics, the history of philosophy, and emotions as an object of research in both social and biological sciences. He is author of Émotions essai sur le corps et le social (1995) and co-author with Jean-Pierre Dupuy of L'Enfer des Choses: René Girard et la logique de l'économie (1979). He is also editor of Violence and Truth: On the Work of René Girard (1988) and Comprendre Pour Agir: Violences, Victimes et Vengeances (2001). His most recent book is Le Sacrifice inutile essai sur la violence et le politique (2011).
